Parkinson's fundraising

August holds the annual Parkinson's NSW Unity Run and Walk, which since inception has raised over 1 million dollars for patients, carers and their families.

The event has been held annually for nearly a decade and consists of either a 4km or 8km walk/run. The events are hosted at either Sydney Olympic Park or in Wollongong.

Parkinson's NSW provide wonderful education and counselling for those with Parkinson's disease as well as an infoline (1800 644 189) providing general advice and information. There is much that can be done to assist patients - even early in the disease - and ongoing research will lead to improved outcomes in the future.
